Part-21 Development operations
DRF Maintenance not only stands for maintenance, but also for innovative developments and modifications. With over 15 years of active experience as a Part-21J and G organisation, we have developed over 1700 modifications in all technical areas. From avionics and structure to special mission equipment - we optimise your aircraft and also offer FAA certification as an upgrade. Good to know: Many components come from our in-house Part 21G manufacturing facility.
Selection of existing modifications
We develop efficient modifications for various aircraft that can sustainably optimise safety and operation. See for yourself.

Pulsing Lights (H145 + EC135)
A sophisticated visual recognition system consisting of 8 powerful LED lights sustainably improves the helicopter's visibility on the ground and in the air. An interface to TAS and FLARM as well as NVIS are optionally available.
Total system weight ~ 2 kg Helicopter downtime ~ 4-6 weeks Working hours ~ 350 MH ROM On request Type of Modification Minor Change -
Multifunction Ground Plate (MEG) EC145 und H145
Our MEG floor plate is fixed to the helicopter floor and enables the safe and protected transport of transport containers weighing up to 300 kg. It is ideal for EPI shuttles or incubators, for example.
Total system weight 50 kg Helicopter downtime ~ 15 min Personnel required 2 persons without additional qualification ROM On request Type of Modification STC -
LPV Approach System (EC135)
The LPV Approach System is a GPS-supported approach system that enables official approach procedures at airports. The system makes approaches easier and safer and can be installed as part of an avionics update, for example.
Total system weight few kg* Helicopter downtime ~ 4 weeks* Working hours ~ 300 MH* ROM On request* Type of Modification STC* * Data including installation of avionics hardware
